I really don’t know how it could have escaped my attention that Morticia Addams, the quintessential femme fatale, was a knitter.

The still of Lurch is wonderful. But in the true spirit of Hollywood, Angelica Huston is merely posing with a prop, not knitting. She doesn’t have the working yarn in either hand and is clearly focused on something else. Gotta love the old series; their expressions are just right.

You can find it on YouTube. By the way, wasn’t Carolyn Jones _actually_ knitting in the old series? I’ve watched her hand movements and it seems that she was.
